Some of the biggest impacts in our community are made by people who never ask for recognition.

The ANR Community Hero program celebrates individuals who go above and beyond to make our community a better place. From volunteers and coaches to teachers, caregivers, mentors, neighbours and community champions, we want to recognize the people who give their time, energy and heart to others.

Throughout the season, selected Community Heroes will be recognized at a County Moose home game and celebrated for the difference they are making in our community.

What Does an ANR Community Hero Receive?

Each selected Community Hero will receive:

• A complimentary ticket for themselves and one guest
• The opportunity to invite up to 20 additional guests at a special discounted ticket rate
• Seating together in the ANR Community Hero Section
• Recognition during the County Moose game
• A feature on County Moose social media sharing their story, their impact and why they were selected as an ANR Community Hero

Who Can Be Nominated?

An ANR Community Hero could be anyone whose actions have positively impacted our community.

We’re looking for people who:

• Give their time through volunteering or community involvement
• Make a positive difference in the lives of children, seniors, families or others in our community
• Support local sports, recreation, schools, organizations or community programs
• Go above and beyond through their work as a teacher, coach, mentor, caregiver or community leader
• Have stepped up to help someone or their community during a difficult time
• Consistently demonstrate kindness, generosity and community spirit
• Have made an impact that deserves a little extra recognition

You don’t need to be part of a formal organization to be a Community Hero. Sometimes it’s the neighbour who is always there to help, the coach who gives countless extra hours, the teacher who makes every student feel seen, or the volunteer who works quietly behind the scenes.
